Today is now Dia del Flamenco (Flamenco Day) in Andalucia, the date coinciding with the inclusion, one year ago today, of Flamenco in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
To celebrate this first Dia del Flamenco, the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute has arranged a series of shows in Istanbul, New Delhi, Tunis, Brasilia and Sydney.
In addition, some 30 clubs in Andalucia will be staging performances in the eight provinces of Andalucia over the next few days.
