A 20 year old worker died in Jaén early on Thursday evening after falling into a hopper at an olive plant and becoming trapped under a mass of olives.
The accident occurred at just before seven o’clock at the plant in the village of La Hortichuela in the municipality of Alcalá la Real.
The youth was rescued from the hopper but all attempts at CPR failed and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
