A three year old girl died on Friday afternoon from drowning after falling into a swimming pool at a house in Pulpi, Almeria.
The young girl was in the company of several relatives but apparently managed to leave the house unnoticed and subsequently fell into the water.
Medical teams called to the scene tried for an hour to resuscitate the girl but to no avail. The incident occurred at around 16:30 on Friday afternoon. The Council has postponed official Christmas activities in Pulpi until Monday to mourn the death of the young girl.
