The Catalan police have arrested two people on suspicion of involvement in a fight which led to one person being shot and killed.
The incident occurred in calle Palerm in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona.
The victim was a Senegalese national and the detainees are two brothers with long criminal records. The incident began when two groups of people began a heated discussion and ended with a fatal shot being fired.
The victim was taken to hospital after the incident but died a short while later.
