Three people have been detained, including the mother, in connection with the shooting yesterday in which a seven year old girl was wounded in the leg.
The girl, her mother and another relative, all of North African origin, had just arrived in the port of Almeria from Nador where they were picked up in a vehicle for a journey to Barcelona. At 07:20 at the avenida de Federico García Lorca exit of the A-7, shots were fired from another car and the young girl was hit in the leg.
The girl was rushed to the Hospital Torrecárdenas where she underwent surgery.
The three detainees were arrested for trying to cover up a crime and for refusing to provide details of the incident.
