A 49 year old man turned himself in to the police on Saturday morning and confessed to killing his partner, a 49 year old Spanish woman, in the Valencian town of Guadassuar.
The man arrived at the police station in neighbouring town of Carlet at 09:30 and confessed to killing his partner. Police went to the home and found the woman dead from stab wounds. The alleged perpetrator also had injuries and was taken to the Hospital de La Ribera in Alzira.
Although there was no history of complaints of abuse in this relationship, the man had been convicted of abuse against a former partner and had served six months in prison and was the subject of a restraining order for one year.
