No surprise as Chelsea sack manager Villas-Boas

Chelsea Football Club have parted company with yet another manager, Andre Villas-Boas being sacked after just nine months in charge. With the players under-performing and under-achieving, someone had to go and, as is usually the case, it is the manager.

Roberto di Matteo has been put in charge until the end of the season. Chelsea are contending the latter stages of the FA Cup and the Champions League but are struggling to qualify for a Champions League spot next season after just three wins in their last twelve games.
