Police in Vélez-Málaga have arrested a total of six people in two operations against drug trafficking in the municipality.
In the first operation, officers raided a house and seized marijuana plants being grown in a garage. A total of eleven plants up to a metre high and ready for processing were seized. The occupants of the house, 62 year old JS.R.R., 57 year old MA. R.N and their 23 year old son D.R.R, were arrested.
The son made an effort to flee the scene but was unsuccessful.
In a second operation, three people were arrested and 17 kilos of drugs were seized along with vehicles, drug-related paraphernalia and cash. The detainees are 30 year old S.M.H. from Córdoba, 30 year old ME.P.C.from Málaga and 28 year old F.M.R. from Motril.
The drugs have been taken away for analysis, sotorage and then destruction.
