Talks to avert a strike by employees of the municipal cleaning service Lipasam in Sevilla have so far failed and a strike is now scheduled to take place from Easter Wednesday to Easter Saturday.
The strike committee and the management of Lipasam have failed to reach an agreement on a minimum service and the Department of Employment will now have to set the level.
Employees are upset by changes to the collective agreement made by Sevilla Council to adapt it to the new labour regulations, these changes including an increase in working hours to 37.5 per week.
