The Council is set to debate a motion, and undoubtedly approve it, requesting the Agency for the Management of Farms and Fisheries, a dependency of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, to expedite matters relating to the construction of fords or bridges over the Rio Seco.
The works fall under the Plan Encamina 2. The Council provided a draft construction project a year ago and in August it was approved by the Andalucian Water Agency. In September the project was approved by the Council.
Shortly afterwards, the Agency for the Management of Farms and Fisheries presented the Plan Encamina 2, designed to improve rural roads, with the Rio Seco project included. Since then, nothing.
The fords, or bridges, are designed to allow for the crossing of the river at any time of year.
