The Casa de las Hermanas del Buen Samaritano – The House of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan – was finally inaugurated and blessed on Friday in a ceremony attended by the Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, the Bishop of Málaga, Monsignor Jesús Catalá, and the founder of the order, Sister Irene García de Prados who returned from Chile for the event.
The Sisters of the Good Samaritan order was founded in 1978 by the Chilean nun Sister Irene García de Prados. The Samaritan House will offer housing, general and health care for elderly residents and has places for 64 people.
