A 74 year old woman was found dead from stab wounds on Tuesday morning at her home in the Prosperidad district of Madrid.
At around 08:20, a neighbour alerted the police after hearing what sounded like a fight. After entering the property through a window police found the body of 74 year old JCS. Her 84 year old husband was found in the bath, apparently having tried to commit suicide after allegedly killing his wife.
The husband was arrested and then taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries, cuts to the arms, are said to be minor.
