A boat carrying 17 people was intercepted last night about 40 miles off the Nerja coast, the passengers having inadvertently forgotten to pack any documentation before setting out from North Africa on their travels.
The boat was intercepted at 21:30 and the passengers arrived in Málaga at 02:00 where the Red Cross was on hand to offer assistance.
All are adults, in apparent good health and are now safely in Málaga awaiting further processing.
