On Thursday morning, a tornado hit the town of Matalascañas in Huelva province causing some damage including the collapse of a wall.
The tornado originated out to sea and reached the industrial area. No-one was injured.
At 16:00, an earthquake measuring 4 degrees on the Richter scale was felt in parts of the province. The epicentre of the quake was in Portugal. No damage was reported.
