Police in Almuñecar have recovered the body of 48 year old local resident P.F.F. who apparently died from drowning.
A swimmer noticed the body about 50 metres from the shore near the Peñón de Almuñécar and notified the authorities. The deceased, who suffered from various health problems, is thought to have been in the water for up to ten hours. The body was taken to Marinas del Este after being recovered from the water.
