The management of Panrico has announced its intention to close its plant in Sevilla as part of a strategic plan to reduce costs and are hoping to negotiate with the unions for the transfer of staff to Puente Genil (Córdoba).
The company says it urgently needs to reduce costs in order to maintain viability and layoffs, through early retirement or voluntary redundancy, have already been agreed in Zaragoza and Cataluña.
Negotiations between management and unions are scheduled to begin shortly.
