Next Monday, heavy machinery will begin an excavation at the farm in Quemadillas where the two young children, Ruth and José Bretón, were known to have been shortly before they disappeared almost eight months ago.
The father of Ruth and José, José Bretón, remains in custody in prison as the case continues. The farm and surrounding area has already been searched on numerous occasions using dogs and ground penetrating radar but to no avail.
According to Bretón he picked up the children and proceeded to the Parque Conde Cruz in Cordoba where he maintains that he lost sight of them and they disappeared. However, the judge has not been convinced and Bretón remains in custody and the search for the children continues.
