A 37 year old man and his 16 year old daughter died on Thursday afternoon in Barrax, Albacete, as a result of drowning in a canal passing through the town.
The two people were discovered in the Tajo-Segura water transfer canal between Barrax and La Gineta. The Tajo-Segura is one of the largest water transport systems in Spain.
The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known.
