Málaga prostitute wins appeal against conviction for disobedience

A Málaga prostitute has won her appeal against a conviction for mild disobedience after she ignored the warnings given by Local Police officers relating to her professional activities.

The Málaga Court of Appeal overturned an earlier conviction by the Court of Instruction Number 3 in Málaga in May when she was found guilty and fined.

The incident occurred in April 2012. The prostitute was observed by two Local Police officers as she offered sexual services to clients, despite earlier being warned that such activity was not permitted.

The Appeal Court ruled that the mild disobedience in this case did not fall under the Penal Code and the conviction was quashed.
