A 79 year old woman has died at her home in Algemesí , Valencia, after being beaten over the head with a stick. Her daughter has been arrested in connection with the assault.
The police were called to investigated a disturbance at the house and had to break down the door to gain entry. they found the elderly woman lying in a pool of blood on the floor and her daughter kneeling next to her.
There was nothing the police could do for the elderly woman and they proceeded to arrest the daughter as the alleged perpetrator of the assault.
