Unions representing workers of the municipal cleaning company Soliarsa in Ronda are threatening industrial action during the Feria in September if an agreement isn’t reached with the Council.
The Feria in Ronda takes place from September 4th to 9th. The unions object to the cutbacks imposed on workers, saying that workers are losing between €2,000 and €3,500 per year.
The main bones of contention relate to the loss of the extra month’s pay at Christmas, the limitation of overtime possibilities on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The annual ‘Christmas shopping basket’ of €137.97 per employee is also set to bite the dust as is the punctuality bonus of €81.25.
