I was strolling along the promenade in Torre del Mar and decided a spot of lunch was in order. I picked a place at random and decided to have Gambas Pil Pil. Good choice as it turned out.
La Estrella is a chiringuito on the other side of the promenade, i.e. not on the beach, although it does have a barbecue boat on the sand.
They were lovely large gambas, bubbling hot when served and the juice was nice and garlicky with a reasonable amount of spice. Delicious. €6.50. And washed down with a nice red wine, aaaah.
