The mortal remains of the historic Communist leader Santiago Carillo, who died in Madrid on Tuesday at the age of 97 years, will be cremated on Thursday at the cemetery in La Almudena.
The coffin was moved from the home of Santiago Carillo to the Marcelino Camacho auditorium in the headquarters of the CCOO union in calle de Lope de Vega. The chapel of the ex-secretary general of the PCE will remain open today until 21:30.
