The Council is once again to discuss a motion to request the Junta de Andalucia to pay the outstanding amounts to 14 local residents who opted to take advantage(?) of the offer of grants to renovate their homes. However, four years later those residents have not received the full payment and are in debt to contractors for the works carried out.
The grants were made under the Home Renovation Plan 2008 and aimed at people with less resources, such as the elderly, disabled and unemployed. Fourteen people carried out the renovations and, quite naturally, expected the regional government to honour its promises..
