The national Police in Torre del Mar have arrested a 42 year old resident of Vélez-Málaga on suspicion of committing ten robberies in the municipality.
The investigation began in September after someone reported the theft of a wallet from their home. Police identified a suspect in a number of similar robberies in the area and have now arrested him.
The thief would enter homes in the early hours of the morning through interior patio windows, mostly when the occupants were still on the premises, and steal cash or jewellery which he would later sell or pawn.
The investigation into the activities of the robber are still ongoing.
