Six fixed or permanent chiringuitos – beach bars – in Rincón de la Victoria now have a little more legal certainty after the Council renewed their concessions for a period of five years with the possibility of renewal for two further periods up to a total of fifteen years.
Three of the bars are on the beach next to the promenade and three are in the heart of La Cala del Moral. The bars had been without a licence for the past two years while negotiations about the legality of chiringuitos have been taking place.
The Council has also submitted documentation to the Junta de Andalucia relating to 17 non-fixed chiringuitos in order to try and legalise the status of these bars also.
