A 31 year old Honduran woman is in a serious condition in hospital in Badalona, Barcelona, with multiple stab wounds, the alleged perpetrator of the attack being her former boyfriend, a 44 year old Ecuadorian national.
The attack took place at 20:00 in calle Miguel Servet in the Progrés district of Badalona. After being alerted to the incident by bystanders, police rushed to the scene and while one officer attended the victim, who was unconscious on the floor, the other officer chased the alleged assailant who was trying to flee the scene.
The woman had suffered five stab wounds to the stomach and chest and was rushed to hospital. The alleged assailant was caught and subsequently arrested.
