A person with severe heart problems had to be rescued by helicopter from the peak of El Fuerte in Frigiliana.
Due to the seriousness of the symptoms and the gravity of the situation, the Guardia Civil opted to call for a helicopter to assist in the rescue. The helicopter dropped off two specialists and then circled the area while the man was attended and placed on a stretcher. The helicopter then returned and the stretcher was loaded onto the aircraft.
The helicopter flew to the centre of Frigiliana where a mobile ICU was waiting to transfer the patient to the Hospital Comarcal de la Axarquía in Vélez-Málaga.
