A 38 year old man died on Saturday afternoon at his home in avenida Guadalquivir in the Barriada de la Paz district of Cádiz from a single stab wound to the abdomen, the fatal blow allegedly delivered by his 49 year old brother during a family dispute.
Police arrived on the scene to find the victim bleeding profusely and in cardiac arrest. The brother was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the attack and was detained in custody pending a court appearance.
Both brothers were known to the police, with both having criminal records including for domestic disputes. There was also a restraining order in force at the time of the incident.
