Austerity continues to bite hard

The Treasury is one of four departments in the UK where number of civil servants on £100,000 or more has risen, in some cases doubling.

When will people finally realise that terms such as ‘austerity’, ‘belt-tightening’, ‘cutback’ and other terms only apply to non-governmental areas and offices, mostly those who can least afford to ‘cut back’. In addition, someone has to be held responsible and fork out for the financial ineptitude and irresponsibility of those in power and, surprise surprise, it will never be them.
