Betis moved up to fifth place, level on points with Málaga, after a 1-2 victory over Zaragoza. Ruben Castro and Jorge Molina found the net for Betis, Paco Montañés scoring a late consolation goal.
Athletic Bilbao’s poor form continues as they were beaten 3-1 by Levante. Aduris gave the home team an early lead before Lell grabbed an equaliser. Oborra restore Levante’s lead just before the break and El Zhar added a third to make it quite a comfortable win in the end.
Angulo gave Granada the lead early in the second half of their match against Valencia, despite being reduced to ten men when Mikel Rico was ordered back to the dressing room. Granada couldn’t hold out, though, and goals from Jonas and Piatti gave victory to the visitors.
