The president of the Andalucian Federation of Speleology, José Antonio Berrocal, and the mayor of Montejaque, Diego Sánchez, have signed a new agreement to promote the sport and the study of caves in the area.
The Montejacque area is noted for its speleological interest with some of the best in Andalucia, including the Sistema Hundidero Gato, la Cueva de la Pileta the Simas de los Pozuelos.
The town already has an Interpretation Centre for Speleology.
