Málaga Council trying to collect 21,000 unpaid motoring fines

Málaga City Council is making a determined effort to locate the 21,000 motorists who have ‘forgotten’ to pay their road traffic fines relating to the period from late 2011 to the first half of 2012.

The figure includes not only those who may have genuinely forgotten, but also those who are deemed professional evaders and those who use the administrative red tape to try and get away without paying.

Part of the administrative procedure involves the publication of the names of offenders in the Official Gazette (BOP), and the document published a few days ago is a massive 217 pages.
