Second placed Atlético Madrid beat Real Valladolid 0-3 with goals from Falcao, Diego Costa and Rodriguez the scorers. The home team failed to manage a shot on goal all match.
Fifth placed Valencia had a fairly comfortable 2-0 victory over Mallorca, two second half goals from Ricardo Costa and Soldado good enough to claim the three points.
