Multinational Danone has announced a restructuring plan which will see 900 jobs go throughout Europe. The Danone factory in Sevilla will close, affecting 90 employees, although the company has stated that staff would be transferred to other centres.
The unions representing the workers in Sevilla will be meeting in Barcelona later this week to discuss protest action.
The restructuring plan calls for savings of €200 million over a period of two and a half years with the loss of 900 jobs throughout Europe.
