The president of Málaga Council, Elias Bendodo, joined a number of local politicians on a visit to the new Social Services building which, although now finished, is still not open as it is pending administrative approval by the Junta de Andalucia.
The new Social Services building was started in 2009 with a seven month completion period and was at one time scheduled to open in April 2010.
In December 2012 the provincial Council provided €87,062 to enable the building to be completed and has also provided funding of €80,000 to provide improved facilities at the temporary Fire Station near the Burriana roundabout.
