The driver of a stolen vehicle was injured and his passenger died after it crashed while being pursued by the police in Zaragoza.
The incident occurred at 00:15 on Sunday morning a police patrol car observed the vehicle in Avenida de la Almozara in Zaragoza. The occupants noticed the police presence and fled at high speed.
After a chase, the suspect vehicle crashed, the driver sustaining injuries and the passenger, a 32 year old, losing his life. The vehicle was stolen.
The injured driver, aged 19 years, was taken to the Hospital Miguel Servet. He has been arrested and charged with reckless homicide, vehicle theft and crimes against road safety.
