Police in Rincón de la Victoria have arrested two women in their twenties as the alleged perpetrators of the theft of wallets and money from residents who stopped to sign a petition purporting to support a local charity.
The two women, Z.C. and A.F., were caught red-handed by police officers as they tried to steal a wallet containing €450 from a local resident who had stopped to sign a petition.
The women approached people in the street to ask them to sign a petition purporting to be in support of a local charity, and when the victim agreed to show their ID they skilfully took money from their wallet or purse.
