An 82 year old German national died in hospital on Monday evening following an accident on his motorcycle in Algarrobo.
The accident occurred at around 16:30 at a roundabout in Algarrobo Costa at the intersection of the old N-340 coast road and the road up to Algarrobo. His motorcycle was involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle.
The injured man, unconscious, was treated at the scene before being transferred by helicopter to hospital. He had suffered multiple fractures and severe injuries to both legs.
He was admitted for emergency surgery but his injuries were so serious they were unable to save his life and he died at around 20:40.
