Three miners were slightly injured on Monday following an explosion in one of the chambers of a mine in Almonaster La Real, Huelva.
The explosion occurred at 15:15 on Monday afternoon and rapid response by the Mine Rescue Brigade prevented the incident from being more serious. The cause of the explosion is now under investigation.
One of the injured was taken to the Riotinto Hospital but was later discharged. The others were treated for bruising and shock.
