A 60 year old mountaineer died on Saturday afternoon while climbing mount Aneto in the Pyrenees in Huesca.
The climber, from Zestoa in Guipúzcoa, was around 300 metres from the summit when he suffered multiple injuries in a fall.
The rescue operation was a difficult one and two specialists and a medic had to be lowered to the scene. However, the injuries to the climber were critical and medics could not do anything to save his life.
