A 69-year-old woman was found dead at her home in calle Solís Carrasco 62 in Villafranca de los Barros, Badajoz, shortly after her 78-yea-old husband entered the local Guardia Civil station and confessed to the killing.
The husband was the subject of a restraining order but had already broken the terms at least once before. On this occasion he allegedly struck his wife several blows with a hammer.
