Sixteen provinces are on ‘yellow’ alert on Monday for temperatures above 34 degrees. In Córdoba the mercury could reach 39 degrees, in Sevilla, Jaén, Albacete, Ciudad Real and Granada 38 degrees and in Madrid, Teruel and Zaragoza the temperature could reach 37 degrees.
In Cuenca, Guadalajara, Girona, Lleida, Tarragona and Mallorca, temperatures are expected to reach 36 degrees and on Ibiza, Formentera and Minorca 34 degrees.
On Gran Canaria, La Gomera and Tenerife the alert is for stormy weather and rough seas.
