The Meteorological Office has issued a ‘yellow’ alert for rains and storms in Huelva, Sevilla, Córdoba and Jaén provinces from 15:00 to midnight on Sunday.

Sixteen provinces are on ‘yellow’ alert on Monday for temperatures above 34 degrees. In Córdoba the mercury could reach 39 degrees, in Sevilla, Jaén, Albacete, Ciudad Real and Granada 38 degrees and in Madrid, Teruel and Zaragoza the temperature could reach 37 degrees.
16 provinces on alert for thunderstorms
Sixteen provinces are on alert for thunderstorms and heavy rains on Sunday. Storms are expected in Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel, Alava ,Vizcaya), Navarra, La Rioja, Burgos, Segovia, Soria, Guadalajara, Granada, Almería, Lleida, Girona and in the northernmost part of Barcelona.

Weather alert for October 30th 2012
A total of 11 provinces are on alert on Tuesday for rains and high winds, predicted to gust up to 100 kph in some areas. Extremadura, Ceuta, Girona, La Palma, Tenerife, El Hierro, Cádiz, Córdoba, Huelva, Málaga and Sevilla are on ‘yellow alert’ for rain and Gran Canaria, La Palma and Tenerife are on ‘orange alert’ for strong winds.

A total of 15 provinces in 12 autonomous regions are on ‘yellow alert’ today, Tuesday, for strong winds, the north and east of the peninsula being most affected and with winds of up to 80 kph.

There is a ‘yellow alert’ for gusting winds in the coastal areas of Cádiz, Málaga, Granada and Almería provinces until midnight on Monday, with winds in Cádiz expected to be up to 80 kph.

Sevilla, Jaén and Córdoba are on yellow alert for temperatures of up to 39 degrees from 12:00 to 20:00 on Sunday.
Ferry crossings to North Africa affected by strong winds
The ports of Tarifa and Ceuta are the subject of an orange alert for strong winds, up to 80 kph, and only large ferries are operating this morning. Elsewhere, twenty provinces are on alert for snow, wind and rain.
