The weekend ended with a total of 20 small boats failing in their attempts to reach mainland Spain after being intercepted in the Strait of Gibraltar.
There were 14 boats intercepted on Saturday with a total of 92 passengers on board including women and one baby. On Sunday, despite force eight winds in the Strait of Gibraltar, a further 6 boats were intercepted with a total of 42 passengers on board.
