Real Sociedad got the new La Liga season under way on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Getafe, Carolos Vela and Seferovic the scorers with one goal coming in each half.
Athletic Bilbao were 1-2 winners against Valladolid, Susaeta opening the scoring for the Basques after 28 minutes. The lead didn’t last very long, though, with Ebert equalising just three minutes later. Munian grabbed the winner shortly after the start of the second half.
Valencia took the the three points against Málaga, Ricado Costa scoring the only goal of the match midway through the second half after keeper Willy Caballero failed to clear a free kick.
