Exports of canned vegetable from Almeria have increased by 421% in the first few months of this year, with 60% of these products ending up in Britain.
Other markets include the Czech Republic, France, Netherlands, USA and even South Africa.
New marketing channels and a quality product have led to this increase in exports. Up until May of this year, 3.2 million kilos of canned veggies were exported from Almeria, bringing in around €4 million.
