Police are trying to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the death of an 86-year-old man at his home in Jerez de la Frontera at the weekend.
The man’s wife was also seriously injured in the attack and is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
The couple lived in the obrera de Santo Tomás de Aquino. Robbery is thought to be a possible motive for the attack, local residents reportedly stating that something like this was ‘inevitable’ and that they had asked for more police presence in the area.
