The body of 63-year-old Manuel Gavira, known in San Martín del Tesorillo as “Razones”, was found today at a house he owned in calle Las Tufas. He had been stabbed several times.
Manuel Gavira, who ran a grocery shop for many years, rented out the property in which his body was found. The rentals were mainly short-term and to foreigners and Gavira was known for being very strict on prompt payment of rents.
Three years ago he suffered a brutal beating at his shop. Several individuals, wearing balaclavas, left him so badly injured that he had to be rushed to the hospital Puerta del Mar in Cádiz.
Police and forensics experts are investigating the incident but no arrest has so far been made.
