In two separate operations National Police officers have dismantled three marijuana plantations in Almayate, Benalmádena and Mijas, seizing a total of 2,300 cannabis sativa plants.
The first operation took place in Almayate and resulted in the seizure of 525 plants in a greenhouse. The second operation, in Benalmádena and Mijas, resulted in the seizure of 1,800 plants, a silenced pistol and various other items related to the cultivation and production of drugs.
Six people, all Dutch nationals, were arrested and charged with alleged crimes against the public health.
